Why do I pay monthly if my site is already built?
Because sites break when they're ignored - security vulnerabilities, outdated software, expired certificates, slow load times. The monthly keeps all of that handled. Skip it and you'll pay a developer three times as much to fix it in a year.
Can you manage a website that someone else built?
Usually yes. We run a baseline audit first - current hosting, theme, plugins, security state, backup coverage - and either migrate to managed hosting or set up remote access, depending on where the site lives. If the existing build is too fragile to maintain, we'll tell you straight and propose a rebuild rather than bill you for something we can't keep running.
What happens during the first month of APEX Care?
Week one, we migrate to managed hosting, verify DNS, and run a security and performance baseline. Week two, we document the current state - plugins, theme, backup schedule, known issues. Week three, updates run and backups are verified off-server. Week four, first monthly report. After that, it's continuous.
What if I need more than one hour of edits?
Additional time is billed at our standard hourly rate, spelled out in your client agreement. No surprises.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time with 30 days notice. We'll hand your site over clean.
Do I have to host with you?
To keep the response times we commit to, yes. Hosting elsewhere and self-maintaining is fine - we just can't be accountable for what we can't see.
